Book Prize 2026 shortlist
The selection committee for the prize has agreed to the following shortlist from an impressive and diverse pool of scholarship produced in the years 2024-25 on the history/politics/society/economy/culture either of Pakistan within its present borders or of the communities of South Asia broadly relevant to Pakistan. The committee considered the extent to which the books make an original contribution to scholarly understanding of the lives and experiences of the people of Pakistan or South Asia.

The Bloomsbury Book prize winner 2024-25 will be announced on the 14th of August 2026.
